I am very excited to be your child's first grade teacher this year. I guarantee that your child will grow a lot throughout the year (knowledge and height). I am looking forward to a lot of great memories! Here is some information about myself:

 

I grew up in State College, PA and attended Boalsburg Elementary and Mount Nittany Middle School. After high school, I decided to travel to Pittsburgh where I went to school at Robert Morris University. In 2010, I graduated with my bachelor of science in Elementary Education. I returned back to State College after college and was a guest teacher in the district for two years, while coaching middle school and high school field hockey for State High. I started working at YSCP five years ago as a first grade assistant. I was then given my own class in first grade in 2013!

 

Teaching has always been a passion for me. I have a love for learning and I hope my students will love learning as much as I do. By making my classroom a safe, fun, and disciplined place, I hope they enjoy coming to school to learn something new everyday. All children are different and require specific attention and affection for them to flourish. I will strive to be that for all of my students!
